Randy’s early business career started in the wholesale grocery business, culminating as a Division Manager with McKesson where he oversaw a multi-state territory that generated $17M in revenue annually. While at McKesson, Randy served as an elder at his local church, Grace Fellowship Church in Johnson City, TN.

In response to a clear calling from God, and to a growing need, Randy joined the staff of Grace Fellowship as its first Executive Pastor. While serving there for 13 years, he oversaw all organizational processes associated with growing from four hundred in attendance to over three thousand per week. This included three major building projects, multiple property purchases, financial systems and safeguards, staff and personnel structure, and strategic planning.

Randy joined Cogun, Inc, a general contractor that worked exclusively with churches, to help churches with pre-construction readiness answering three questions: Are you healthy, what can you afford, and what facility do you need as a tool for the next season of ministry?

He then became the first president of MAG Bookkeeping, overseeing a company that offered virtual bookkeeping for churches across the country. In four years at MAG Bookkeeping the number of clients and revenue doubled every year.

Due to a financial crisis at the church he and his wife Claranne were attending, the Pastor asked Randy to join the staff as an Executive Pastor and help navigate through uncertain waters. While serving Mountain Lake Church in Cumming, GA during that season, the finances were stabilized and the staff team was aligned to a new and compelling vision. After leaving the staff to pursue church consulting work, Randy continued to serve as a virtual CFO.

He then became the president of Ministry Solutions, where he could again use his background in team leadership to serve churches during the difficult season of facility expansion and financing.

Randy and his wife Claranne are parents of three grown sons and two granddaughters. They live in the beautiful mountains of East Tennessee, where you can often catch them playing golf or fly fishing.
